Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how StylesStudio.ai ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data when you use our website and service (the "Service"), in accordance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and applicable IT rules. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Who this applies to

This policy applies to anyone who visits our website or creates an account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service; we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

2. What we collect

• Account details: username, email address, and optionally your name and phone number.
• Google account info (only if you use "Sign in with Google"): your name, email address, and Google account ID.
• Photos: any photo you upload or take, plus every photo we generate for you.
• Payment details: transaction records (amount, package, payment reference) for purchases made via Razorpay or UPI. We never see or store your card, UPI PIN, or bank details -- those are handled entirely by Razorpay or your UPI app.
• Usage data: basic technical logs (e.g. request timing, error logs) used to operate and secure the Service.
• Cookies: a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

3. Why we collect it

• To generate the hairstyle, beard, and outfit recommendations and previews you ask for.
• To manage your account, credits, and purchase history.
• To send you a password-reset link if you request one, and (if you opt in) a push notification when your photo is ready.
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
• To comply with legal and tax obligations.

4. Who else sees your data

• OpenAI processes every photo you submit to generate your results. This means your photo is sent to OpenAI's servers (based in the United States) as part of generating your recommendation. This is a cross-border transfer of your data, made solely to provide you the Service. We don't control OpenAI's own retention of that data beyond what's needed to serve the request, and we do not permit our processors to use your photo to train their own models.
• Razorpay processes card/UPI payments if you choose that option.
• We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of StylesStudio.ai or others.
• We do not sell your data to anyone, and do not share it with any other third party for their own marketing or commercial purposes.

5. How long we keep it

• The photo you upload is used only to generate your recommendation or preview, then automatically deleted within 7 days — kept just long enough for us to investigate an issue with your result or regenerate it if needed, not for the full retention period below.
• Generated result photos are automatically and permanently deleted after 90 days.
• Your account details are kept for as long as your account is active.
• Payment/transaction records are kept longer, as required for financial and tax record-keeping, even after an account is deleted.

6. Your rights

• Access/correction: update your name, email, or phone any time from your account settings.
• Download: every photo we generate for you can be downloaded to your own device at any time from My Photos.
• Remove a photo: you can remove any individual photo from your My Photos view at any time. Every photo — individually removed or not — is still deleted automatically per the schedule in Section 5, and everything is deleted immediately and irreversibly if you delete your account.
• Deletion (erasure): you can permanently delete your account, name, email, phone, and every photo at any time from Change Password → Delete account. This can't be undone.
• Withdraw consent: deleting your account withdraws your consent to further processing of your personal data.
• Grievances: if you have a complaint about how your data is handled, email compliance@thikana-india.com. We will acknowledge your complaint promptly and aim to resolve it as quickly as possible.

7. Security

Passwords are never stored in plain text. All traffic to and from StylesStudio.ai is encrypted (HTTPS). Every photo we generate for you is private to your account: viewing or downloading it requires being signed in as you, and every request is checked against your account before any photo is served — no other user of the Service can view, download, or access your photos. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed at, and must not be used by, anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal data from someone under 18, we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
